Welcome Ariana Noelle!

Introducing our newest little miracle... Miss Ariana Noelle (pronounced "ar-ee-AH-nah" "no-el"). Ariana joined us after a perfect and uneventful c-section delivery on November 5, 2009 at 8:07am weighing a whopping 8 lbs 7 oz. All the nurses in the room were taking bets on the gender and weight... all of which guessed a boy, weighing between 6 - 8 lbs... All were surprised when a non-so-little girl with a headful of thick black hair entered the world! They wheeled me into the OR about 7:30am and she was born by 8:07am. Sure beats 18 hours of labor!

Today she's 5 days old and all is going well. She's such a precious little angel...so calm and quiet. She has a bit of jaundice and has lost about 14% of her birth weight (down to 7lbs 2.5 oz today), so we've been going to the doctor the last couple days to check her Billi levels and weight. We're hoping by tomorrow she starts putting on some weight. Mommy keeps eating brownies (thanks to the Reeds!) hoping it'll help Ari put weight no - but so far, no luck! :)

Grandma n' Grandpa Mostad came on Tuesday and have been helping to take care of us since I came home on Saturday. Cora loves the extra attention...mommy loves the extra sleep... and we SO appreciate all the extra help! Especially with a 2-year old in the house... Not sure what we'd do without them. Grandma S. came on Saturday and left this morning to join in the celebration of her newest little angel. We had some great visitors yesterday and are so thankful for the love our our amazing friends.

Below are some photos of the event (click to view larger).
We think she looks more like me than Bryan...unlike Cora who's a duplicate of her Daddy!
1) Anyone who knows me knows I have to put everything into my phone calendar so I don't forget. This is what came up on our drive to Northfield...Bry got a reminder too. :)
2) A pic of me posing pre-surgery.
3) Ariana, Mommy and Daddy in the OR right after her birth
4) Me, admiring pure perfection.
5) Daddy, Cora and Ariana - the super proud big sister!
6) Mommy n' Baby - 24 hours post surgery
7) Daddy getting ready to take home his angel
8) Ariana in her "ready to go home" sweatsuit...pink pink pink!!!
