Happy 12 Months Baby Girl!

Happy Birthday to you.... Happy Birthday to you... Happy 12 Month Birthday baby Cora...Happy Birthday to you! Where, oh where have the past 12 months gone? 12 months ago you were 7lbs 10oz, today you're 23lbs, 12 months ago you were 21" long, today you're 31". 12 months ago you would only sleep while mommy and daddy were awake. We tried to fool you and sleep upright, but that rarely worked. Today you lay down, go to sleep on your own and wake up 10-12 hours later. 12 months ago you ate, at most, 2 oz. of milk every two hours. Today you drink 6-8 oz in one feeding, plus cheese, beans, fruit, bread, crackers, yogurt...pretty much anything. 12 months ago you cried to get what you want. Today...well, you still cry to get what you want, only louder with more gusto. 12 months ago you were tiny in your big car seat. Today, your feet hang off the end of your forward-facing big-girl car seat. 12 months ago you had no idea who Mommy and Daddy were, today you smile, giggle, squeal and wave when we walk into the room. 12 months ago you grunted and cried. Today you say mommy, daddy and baby...and cry. 12 months ago you laid there almost motionless. Today it takes two people to hold you down just to change your diaper or try to put your jammies on. You also crawl at record speeds, pull yourself up and run across the room when someone holds your hands. 12 months ago, you had the cutest little toothless gums. Today you have the cutest 7 teeth we've ever seen. 12 months ago your comfort was your binky. Today, your comfort is still your binky, but now also your blanky, teddy and dolly. 12 months ago Mommy and Daddy thought you were pretty much the most amazing thing they'd ever seen, ever in the world. Today, Mommy and Daddy know, without a doubt, that you're the most amazing thing they've ever seen, ever in the world. We love you, baby girl.
